After months without one, I finally was able to get a used Toshiba laptop to replace mine that the video died on.

Unfortunately, it seems it was not in perfect shape — the pcmcia slots seem to be non-functional; but the two USB ports are. So, I will have to use a USB wireless NIC device to use the laptop wirelessly (which I’m doing as I type this).

Although, it is not a modern laptop by any means. It is an upgrade. It has 3 times the memory my old one had (40MB), 5x hard drive space (2gb), and 6x processor speed (90mhz). And a DVD player, so I can now watch dvd on my laptop something I could not do before (I could not even boot a CD on the old machine!)
