Well, my poor laptop is having problems. I cannot get any video output from it.
Kinda depressing, when you think that it is probably better to invest in something new than to repair something old.
The laptop is an old Toshiba Satellite 425 CDT. Pentium , 40MB RAM, and a 2GB drive.
It runs Win98, and is quite useful to check mail wirelessly. I’m investigating local repair, but am concerned that it will not be worth the cost.
Bad thing is, I do have an application I need to run from it. I have a program that allows upload/download of information to a amateur radio via serial port. So, if I cannot repair mine, I may have to solicit borrowing someone’s for a weekend, to install the program and reprogram a radio for my father-in-law.
I’m sure it will work out.
